Rick and Morty Show Summary
This show follows the misadventures of an alcoholic scientist Rick and his nervous grandson Morty. If they aren't home with their family causing mayhem, then they are on one of their many intergalactic travel adventures doing so.
Understanding the Rick and Morty Universe
The world that these two characters occupy is a part of a multiverse. This means there are an infinite number of universes with copies of themselves that exist in time, all of whom are different. However, in some way this duo and all that exist of them seem to be the center of everything as seen through the creation of the Citadel. However, along the way they bump into many other characters that aren't themselves.

A brilliant but boozy scientist who takes his grandson Morty on interdimensional adventures.
Morty Smith
A nervous but good-hearted teenager who struggles with school and survival on Rick’s chaotic adventures.
Beth Sanchez
A confident but emotionally guarded surgeon who wrestles with her past and her complicated relationship with Rick.
Jerry Smith
Beth’s insecure husband who resents Rick’s influence but remains hopelessly devoted to his family.
Summer Smith
A sharp-tongued teen eager to prove herself capable of handling Rick’s crazy world.
